Why AI, and how

# You don't need to become an AI company. You need AI working in your company.

AI is a tool, like email or a website. The businesses winning with it aren't the ones with the fanciest tech. They're the ones who use it every day on real work, while staying in charge of what reaches the customer.

The myths

## Two myths holding small businesses back

### Myth: "We have to become an AI business."

You don't. Think about the internet. Nearly every business sells or markets online now, but your local accountant, builder or clinic didn't turn into a tech company. They used the internet as another way to reach customers and get work done. AI is the same. It's a new way to get work done faster, not a new identity.

### Myth: "We can hand AI to an expert and be done."

You can't. A consultant who just says "leave it to us, we'll AI your business" is setting you up for disappointment. We know the tools. You know your customers, your pricing, your standards and what makes your service good. That knowledge is what makes AI useful. So we build with you, not for you behind a curtain.
The rule we work by

## Use AI as much as possible. Own every outcome.

Every task you hand to AI splits into three parts. AI does the middle. You own the start and the finish.
30% You: set it upDecide the goal, give context, set the rules
40% AI: do the heavy liftingDrafting, research, sorting, analysis, building
30% You: check and finishReview, tighten, approve what the customer sees

### The first 30% is you.

You decide what good looks like. What's the goal? Who is it for? What must it never say or do? You give AI the context it can't guess: your prices, your tone, your past examples. These are the guardrails.

### The next 40% is AI.

Let it do the heavy lifting: the first draft of a quote, the summary of a long email thread, the sorting of 200 invoices, the research on a new supplier, the reply to a routine question. This is where time comes back to your week.

### The final 30% is you again.

You check it, fix what's off, and make sure it meets your standard before it reaches a customer. AI is fast, but it can be confidently wrong. Your name is on the result, so a person always signs off.

How to start

## Five steps to put AI to work, without the chaos

Find the repetitive work. List the tasks your team does every week that follow a pattern: emails, quotes, data entry, follow-ups, reports. These are your first candidates.
Pick one task with a clear finish line. Start where a better result is easy to see, such as "every enquiry gets a reply within an hour."
Do your first 30% properly. Write down the goal, the rules and two or three examples of great work. This is what separates useful AI from generic AI.
Let AI run the middle, and check everything at first. Review every output for the first couple of weeks. As trust builds, check faster, but never skip the final 30% on anything a customer sees.
Measure, then repeat. Track the time saved or the result improved. When one task is working, move to the next.
Tip: Give every AI task a named owner on your team. If nobody owns the final 30%, nobody owns the result.
Where we come in

## We set up the 40%. You stay in charge of the rest.

We sit down with you to find the right tasks, help you write the rules and examples (your first 30%), build and connect the AI that does the middle 40%, and train your team on the final 30% so quality never slips. Then we review it with you so it keeps working.

FAQ

## Questions about getting started

**Q: Will AI replace my staff?**
No. In the 30/40/30 rule, people own the start and the finish. AI takes the repetitive middle so your team spends more time on customers and judgement calls.

**Q: What if AI gets something wrong?**
That's why the final 30% exists. Nothing reaches a customer without a person checking it, and we build that check into every workflow we set up.

**Q: Do I need to be technical?**
No. You need to know your business, which you already do. We handle the tools.

**Q: Is my data safe?**
We set up tools with GDPR in mind and only connect what each task needs. We'll walk you through exactly where your data goes before anything goes live.

**Q: Where should a small business start with AI?**
With one repetitive task that has a clear result, like replying to enquiries or chasing invoices. A free 30-minute call is the quickest way to find yours.
